"The Khilafat Movement was started in the year 1919-1924 by three Muslim brothers. It was started against the British. Gandhiji supports the Movement and he thought it helps for the Indian freedom.
Later he withdraws his support as there was nonviolence in the movement as a result, Hindus turned against the Indian Muslims.
Thus the Khilafat Movement proved that Hindus and Muslims were two different nations as they could not continue the unity."
