There are many types of indocators such as Phenolpthalien,Red cabbage juice,China rose juice,turmeric juice.etc.Litmus paper is one of them.Litmus paper is a natural indicator which is obtained from certain plants known as Litchens.There are two types litmus paper:
✨Red litmus
✨Blue litmus
Now,I am classifying both of them to you.
⭐Red litmus turns blue when it is dipped in a solution of base.
⭐Blue litmus turns red when it is dipped in a solution of acid.
But then, what are these substances called "acids" and "bases"?
Ans- Well, an acid a substance which dissolves in water to give H+ ions. And, on the other hand, a base is a substance which reacts with acid to form salt and water which causes a neutralisation reaction.
ACID+BASE=SALT+WATER
