Plants provide the oxygen that animals and other living things need to survive. Animals and other living things provide the carbon dioxide that plants need to make their own food. The air we breathe is made up of more than just carbon dioxide and oxygen.

plants consume carbon di oxide during night and releases oxygen , and it uses it for its food production. during human respiration oxygen is needed.
