Given :-

  • Length of Train = 200m.
  • Speed of Train = 120km/h.
  • Speed of Motor Cycle = 12km/h.

Formula & concept used :-

  • when Train cross :- A Pole , A Tree, A stone, A standing man, Motor Cycle . In These The Train Cover The distance Equal to Its Length in Crossing .
  • To convert km/h speed into m/s Multiply it with (5/18).
  • Time = (Distance/Speed).
  • in same Direction usual Speed = (S2 - S1)

Solution :-

From Above Told Concept we can say that,

→ Total Distance covered by Train = Length of Train = 200m.

→ Usual speed Speed of Train = (120 - 12) = 108km/h = 108 * (5/18) = 30 m/s .

So,

Time = (D/S) = 200 / 30 = = (20/3)seconds = 6(2/3) seconds.

Hence, The Train will be (20/3) seconds to cross a motor cycle moving in the same direction .

Given :-

Length of Train = 200m ( Distance covered by Train )

Speed of Train = 120km / h

Speed of Motor Cycle = 12km / h

|| ✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰ ||

Total Distance covered by Train = 200m

Speed of Train = (S2 - S1) = ( 120 - 12 ) = 108km / h = 108 × ( 5 / 18 ) = 30 m / s

Therefore ,

Time = ( Distance / Speed ) = 200 / 30 = ( 20 / 3 ) sec = 6 ( 2 / 3 ) sec

So,

The Train will take (20/3) seconds to cross a motor cycle moving in the same direction
