most of the non biodegradable sustances like plastics take more and more time to be biodegradable.it was about maximum 500 years for the plastic bottle to be completely biodegradable.that much of time a plastic takes to completely mix in the soil.the main reason for the plastic to be non-biodegradable is-In our nature there are natural and artificial subsances..and we also know that artificial substances are man made..natural substances like vegetables,fruits can be easily biodegradable.but we are using artificial and chemical substances in the preparation of plastic.so it will take more time for the materials to be biodegradable.
