Under extreme conditions, they've even germinated 30,000 year old seeds. I'd be very surprised if the seeds didn't germinate after four years. Even seeds most likely to lose viability (e.g. oilseeds) have acceptable germination rates after ten years.

We can't say the exact time how the seeds remain alive after they dispersed.
• Some species of seeds remain alive for many years after they dispersed.
• Some of the species of seeds are alive just a few years like 4 to 5 years.
• Seeds life span depends on the environmental conditions and the maturity of the seeds.
• Some immature seeds or seeds from diseased plants have less life span than more normal seeds.
