Wave Speed = Frequency x Wavelength
Change the units of 1.5KHz to Hz
SO 1500Hz.
And 25cm to m
SO 0.25m
Now,1500 x 0.25
15 x 25
= 375 m/s

Wavelength= 25 cm = 0.25 m
Distance = 1.5km = 1.5 x 10^3m
we have to find,
time = ?
We know that ,
Time = distance/velocity
Hence,first we have to find it's Velocity
By using the formula, we get
velocity = frequency x Wavelength
v = 1.5 x 10^3 x 0.25
v = 0.375 x 10^3
v = 375 m/s
We have calculated the velocity,now we can easily find the time,
By using the formula,
time = distance/velocity
time = 1.5 x 10^3/375
time = 1500/375
time = 4 sec
Therefore, the sound wave takes 4 sec to travel the distance of 1.5 km.
