Answer:

converting speed km/h in m/s

= 50×5/18

= 13.9 m/s (approx)

time taken to clear 130m long platform

= 130/13.9 sec

=. 9.35 seconds

Answer :-

Time = 18 s

Given:-

  • Length of train = 120m

  • Length of Platform = 130 m

  • Speed of train = 50 km/h

To find :-

  • Time taken by a train to pass the platform

Solution :-

Total Distance = Length ot Train + Length of platform

Total Distance =120 + 130 = 250m

Speed = 50 km/h

We have to change it in m/s:-

50 \times  \frac{5}{18}  =  \frac{250}{18}  =  \frac{125}{9}

= 125/9 m/s

We know that,

Time = Distance / Speed

  =  > \frac{250}{ \frac{125}{9} }  \\  \\  =  > 250 \times  \frac{9}{125}  \\  \\  =  > 9 \times 2 = 18

Time = 18s
