How long will a train,120m long, take to clear a plateform , 130m long , if it's speed is 50km/ hr ? ​

⇒Length of train =120m

⇒length of platform=130m

⇒Total length =120+130=250m

speed of train is given in km/hr=50km/hr

so we have to convert into m/s:-

⇒50 \times  \frac{5}{18} =  \frac{250}{18} m/s

⇒time =  \frac{distance}{speed}

The required time:-

⇒ \frac{250}{ \frac{250}{18} }  = 250 \times  \frac{18}{250}  =18m   /s</p><p>

∴The time required by the train is 18m/s
