Given , length of first train = 160 m

length of second train = 190 m

_______________________________
total length of two trains ( distance )
= length of first train + length of second train
_______________________________

= 160 + 190 = 350 m

also Given,speed of first train=60 km/h

and speed of second train = 25 km / hr
_______________________________
since the trains are travelling in same direction , then , Find Relative speed
_______________________________

when the two trains travel in same direction then their

relative speed

= speed of faster train - speed of slower train

= 60km / hr - 25 km /hr = 35 km /hr

_______________________________
since the distance is given in ' m' so then convert speed from km /h to m/ s to get the required time taken .
_______________________________

Relative speed = 35 km / hr

= 35 × 5 / 18 = 9.7 m / s

since we know that ,

Time taken = distance / relative speed

= 350 / 9.7 = 36 s (approx. )

therefore , first train will take 36 seconds to pass the second train .
