we now force(F)= ma
m is the mass and a is acceleration.
so, 10 = 2.5 × a
or, a= 10÷2.5= 4 m/s^2
to stop a body the acceleration must be negetive.
again we now,
v= u + at
v is the final speed
u is the initial speed
t is time.
here, v=0, u=20 m/s , a= -4 m/s^2
so, 0= 20 - 4t
or, t= 20÷4 = 5 sec
