How long will it take for a falling object to reach 108 m/s if its initial velocity 10 m/s?

Let us first note down all the quantities:

initial velocity, u = 10 m/s

final velocity, v =  108 m/s

since its a free falling object, a=g

acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s²

Eq. velocity-time relation⇒

v=u+at

v=u+gt

v-u/g=t

108-10/9.8=t

98/9.8=t

10 s=t

∴It took 10 seconds to reach a final velocity of 108 m/s
