How long will it take to stop a car travelling at a speed of 60 m/s, if the uniform acceleration during braking is – 12 m/s2.

u = 60 m/s

v = 0 m/s

a = -12 m/

a = v-u/t

t = v-u/a

t = 0-60/12

t = -60/-12

t = 5 seconds.
