How long will Ram take to run three times around a circular track of radius 119 m, if he runs at the speed of 3.4 km/h? (Take π≈227)

Let me know the minutes and seconds as well

Answer is : 39 minutes 36 seconds.

We will proceed as follows:

STEP : 1

The circumference of the circular track =2πr.

=2×227×119

=748 m

=7481000=0.748 km

STEP:2

So, the distance travelled by Ram to run three times on the track =3×0.748=2.244 km.

And the speed is =3.4 km/h.

STEP:3

So the time taken =Distance travelledSpeed

=2.2443.4

=0.66 hours

=0.66×60 minutes

=39.6 minutes

=39 minutes (0.6×60) seconds

=39 minutes 36 seconds.

Answer:

The time taken in seconds is 2276 sec and in minutes is 39.6 min

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

a circular track of radius 119 m

Speed 3.4 km/h

We need to find the time taken by Ram

As he rotates three times around a circular track we get the distance as

=3 (2 * \frac{22}{7} *119)\\\\=3*2*22*17\\\\=2244

So as we know

Distance = speed * time

We get as

2244=3.4*\frac{5}{18} *t\\\\t=\frac{2244*18}{3.4*5} \\\\t=2376

In minutes we get as

t=\frac{2376}{60} \\\\t=39.6
