Resistance is a property of the material to resist the flow of current through it.
Resistance depends on 3 factors:
1) length of wire
2)cross section area
3) resistivity
So in long distance power transmission cable the lower current follows high voltage transmission results in lower resistance in the cables as electricity flows in the cables.
