How lower currentvresults in lower resistance in long distance power transmission cables?

Resistance is a property of the material to resist the flow of current through it.

Resistance depends on 3 factors:

1) length of wire

2)cross section area

3) resistivity

So in long distance power transmission  cable  the lower current  follows high voltage transmission results in lower resistance in the cables as electricity flows in the cables.
