lungs has alveoli which are ball like structure and have a large surface area,this helps to maximise the exchange of gases easily through diffusion(ans. can be expanded till 5marks)

➡Lungs are two large balloon like structure located in the Thoracic cavity .
➡They are enclosed and protected by a double walled sac called pleurea.
➡The wind pipe divides into two bronchi which further divide into bronchioles .
These end up in sac like structure called Alveoli.
➡Alveoli have special characteristics like thin walls , rich supply of blood and a large moist surface area for the quick and easy exchange of gases .
