M.hamel proves to be an ideal teacher through his last lesson which he provides to his class.he began his lesson the way he had been doing since the past forty years. when Franz called upon to answer, he was not able to say it correctly.rather than rebuking him m.hamels tells him the relevance of learning one's own mother tongue.He preaches that important things should never be left postponed.His Class cultimated with the proclamation "vive la france" , which he writes on the blackboard. M.Hamel not only provides the students with intellectual understanding nut also fosters a nationalistic consciousness towards one's own motherland..
