Weight is also a type of force exerted on a body because of its gravity.

Gravitatioal Force(of Earth)=Gme m/Re^2......(i)

Weight=ma

F=ma(Weight is also a type of force).

putting the value of F on eqn (i)

ma=Gme m/Re^2

cancelling m on both sides,

a=Gme/Re^2.

The value of tells us about the acceleration due to gravity of Earth.

\\Hope u got that.
