According to the Indian History, the actual reason behind the death of Maharani Ajbade, wife of Maharana Pratap is not clear. According to one school of thought, she may have died because of terminal illness viz. cancer. But other historians believe she died right after giving birth to Pratap's successor. It is also anticipated that Akbar got her killed in deceit or some believe that another Rani of Pratap got her killed out of jealousy.
