How man is a barrier to sustainable consumption?

Sustainable consumption specifies the consumption of resources or products which will not degrade the environment.
Hence, consumption will not affect the consumption or survival of future generation.
The greatest barrier to sustainable consumption is human beings and their habits.
Some of them are,
1. The proper awareness is not created among the people for the sustainable consumption.
2. Rich people consume more than the poor people. For example, preferring private transportation where we can use public transportation.
3. The over consumption of man is not supervised properly which leads to unnoticed over consumption.
4. Many innovations need to be made to reduce the over consumption problem.
5. The children do not have a proper view on the earth's global warming situation and sustainable consumption.
