To arrive at standard form you try to get rid off zeros and arrive at a number less than 10 but greater than 0 so we drop off the leading zeros and have 5 now for the standard form to have the Same value we multiply by the amount of digits there which is 6 (the 0 before the decimal point does not count) then because the answer is less than one the standard form should be in the negative hence we get 5×10 to the negative 6 power
