how many 176 ohm resistors ( in parallel) are required to carry 5 ampere on a 220 volt line

R = V/I

R = 220/5

R = 44 ohm

1/R = 1/R1 +.......... +1/Rn

= x/176

1/44 = x/176

176 = 44x

x = 176/44

= 4 resistors.
