Here is your answer !!

Now the AP will be 100 ,105 ......995

a=100

d=5

l =995

By applying the formula

an=a+ (n-1)d

995 = 100 + (n-1) 5

995-100 = 5 (n-1)

885 /5 =n-1

179 = n-1

179+1 =n

180=n

Hence 180 numbers are divisible by 5

● Ques. how many 3 digit numbers are divisible by 5.

● The smallest number which is divisible by is = 100.

● And greatest 3 digit number divisible by 5 is = 995.

Then , A.P. will be : 100 + 105 + 110.....................995.

Last term = 995

So , differences = 5.

● On putting the values , we get :--

==> An = a + ( n - 1 ) d

==> 995 = 100 + ( n - 1 ) 5

==> 995 - 100 = 5n - 5

==> 895 = 5n - 5

==> 895 + 5 = 5n

==> 900 = 5n

==> n = 180

● So , the three digits number which is divisible by 5 is 180.
