3 digit numbers with no digit repeated in discrete mathematics are :

•We have digits from 0-9 i.e total ten digits.

• There are three blanks to fill for three digits number.

__ __ __

1 2 3

• 1st place can be filled with all digits excluding 0 as it will make no. two digit.

• So total ways to fill 1st place = 9

• In 2nd place, we can fill any of the no. from 0-9 but we have already used one no. for filling 1st place, we're left with 9 no. to fill 2nd place.

• Total ways to fill 2nd place = 9

• For 3rd place, we're left with 8 no.

• So total ways to fill 3rd place = 8

• Now for 3 digit number, total different numbers formed = 9×9×8 = 648
