Answer

4 x 5 x 5 =100ways

Solution

The three digits number is formed by using 0,2,3,6 and 8

First digits cannot be 0. So the first digit must be 2, or 3 or 6 or 8. so there are 4 possibilities. the second digit can be selected from any of 5 digits, and third digits also can be selected any of the given 5 digits

So the final result is that ,The three digits number is formed using these numbers =4 x 5 x 5 =100

First digit  (Hundreds place) cannot be zero

⇒ Choices are {2, 3, 6, 8} ⇒ 4 choices

Second digit (tens place) can be any of the digits (repeats allow)

⇒ Choices are {0, 2, 3, 6, 8} ⇒ 5 choices

thirds digit (ones place) can be any of the digits (repeats allow)

⇒ Choices are {0, 2, 3, 6, 8} ⇒ 5 choices

Number of ways = 4 x 5 x 5 = 100 ways
