Answer:

Any number which ends with 0 or 5 is divisible by 5.

_ _ _ _ We have to check for 4 digit numbers. The 4 digit number must end with 0 or 5. So there are two possiblities.

So in one’s position (0 or 5)- 2 possiblities.

in ten’s position- all possiblities.. i.e 7 possiblities

in hundred’s position- again all possiblities .. 7

in thousandth position- 6 possiblities ..( 0 cannot be in that position otherwise it will be a 3 digit number).

Therefore , the total number of 4 digit numbers that are divisible by 5 and made up of 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 is

6*7*7*2=588.
