The Murababa was a land measurement unit and was part of the Murbandi Act which was technically the Punjab Consolidation of Land Act passed in the 1948.

Every Muraba or otherwise known as Musteel was equivalent to twenty Five acres of land.

This Act was passed in order to facilitate the consolidation of land which was scattered all across Punjab.
