How many amendments in indian constitution so far?
Answers
Answer:
Amendment of Indian Constitution is the process of making changes in the Constitution of India. Such changes are done by the Parliament of India.
These must be approved by a substantial majority from each House of Parliament and specific amendments must also be approved by the states. The details of this procedure are given in article 368, Part XX of the Constitution.
Despite these rules, 103 amendments have been made since the constitution came into force in 1950. Controversially, according to the Supreme Court of India (Supreme Court) it is not possible to allow every amendment to be made in the Constitution. An amendment should be made in such a way that it respects the "original structure" of the Constitution, which is unchanging.
