Step 1:-

The cotton plant will have a small green fruit which is called the cotton ball. The cotton ball will contain seeds in it, which will be surrounded by cotton fibre.

Step 2:-

Once the cotton balls are matured, it splits open exposing the raw cotton fibers. The sun's heat will make these fibers dry. Once these are dried, the crops are harvested.

Step 3:-

Once the cotton gets harvested, it is sent for ginning.

Step 4:-

Then, the fibers are cleaned and are converted into long thread-like strands.

Step 5:-

The fibers are spun using the spinning machines to form cotton yarn.

Step 6:-

The yarn is then made into cotton fibers by weaving or knitting.
