Hey mate !!

Here's the answer !!

We know that,

1 u = 1 g

Hence Magnesium has 96 g.

Hence, Given Mass is 96 g

We know that,

Number of moles = Given Mass / Molecular Mass

=> Number of moles = 96 g / 24 g = 4 Moles

We know that ,

1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ atoms

So 4 moles will have 4 × 6.022 × 10²³

=> 4 moles will have 24.08 × 10²³ atoms.

Hence the Magnesium will contain 24.08 × 10²³ atoms.

Hope my answer helped !!

Cheers !!

240amu of Mg contains 6.023×10^{24} atoms.

Given: 240 amu of Mg.

To find: We have to find the number of atoms.

Solution:

The molecular weight of Magnesium is 24 grams.

The given mass of Mg is 240amu.

We know that 1 amu is equal to 1 gram.

So, 240amu will be equal to 240 grams.

The number of moles of magnesium is-

 \frac{240}{24}  = 10

Now 1 mole of Mg contains6.023×10^{23} atoms.

So, 10 moles of Mg will contain

6.023 \times  {10}^{23}  \times 10 = 6.023  \times  {10}^{24}

Thus 240amu of Mg contains 6.023×10^{24} atoms.
