Answer:

If 5 bananas are for Re 1.20 then 1 banana will be for Rs. 0.24

If 6 bananas are for Rs. 2.10 then 1 banana will be for Rs. 0.35

We need to find the correct mixture of banana so that cost of 1 banana is Rs. 0.30. ( 3.60/12= 0.30)

By rule of allegation: (ax+by)/(X+y)

= (0.24x + 0.35*300)/(300+X) = 0.30

Solving for X gives 250.

Hence the answer is 250.

(D) 250
