The distance between two consecutive bp is 0.34nm

The total length of double helix DNA in an organism can be calculated by
multiplying the total number of bp with distance between two consecutive bp

Total lenght of double helix DNA=total number of bp×distance between two consecutive bp

            ∴ 1.36nm=total number of bp×0.34nm

by solving this we get total number of bp=4×10∧6bp
