how many blocks,each 25cm long and 12 cm wide, will be required to lay a path 12.5 m long and 4.8m wide ?

navadeep7: Answer : 2000 blocks will be required . Explanation : The block - Length = 25 cm and Breadth = 12 cm . The path - Length = 12.5 m = 1250 cm and Breadth = 4.8 m = 480 cm . So, now we can answer this question easily . No.of blocks = Area of the path / Area of a block = 1250×480 / 25×12 = 2000 . Therefore the no .of blocks required = 2000 blocks

\textsf{Answer :}

2000 blocks will be required.

\textsf{Step-by-step explanation :}

Given,

Length of block = 25\:cm = 0.25\:m

Breadth of block = 12\:cm = 0.12\:m

Length of path = 12.5\:m

Breadth of path = 4.8\:m

In order to find the number of blocks required to lay the path we need to find the area of blocks and area of path and then divide the area of path by area of blocks.

So, area of block -

\implies length\times breadth

\implies 0.25\times 0.12

\implies 0.03\:m^{2}

Now, area of path -

\implies length\times breadth

\implies 12.5\times 4.8

\implies 60\:m^{2}

Number of blocks required -

\implies \frac{Area\:of\:path}{Area\:of\:block}

\implies \frac{60}{0.03}

\implies 2000

So, the number of blocks required to lay the path is 2000.

Hi !!!

take the following steps into consideration :-

No. of blocks given by =>

Length = 25 /100 => 0.25 m

breath = 12cm = 12/100 => 0.12 m

length of track = 12.5 m

breath of track = 4.8 m .

now required no. of. bricks =>

12.5 m × 4.8m / .25 m× .12m

=> 50 × 40

=> 2000

no . of brick required to fence the area is 2000 .

hope it help you !!

thanks !!
