BOXES:-

Volume = lbh

             = 10 × 8 × 5

            = 400 cm³

CARTON:-

Volume = 100 × 72 × 50

            = 360000 cm³

∴ No. of boxes to be packed into the carton = Volume of [carton ÷ box]

                                            = 360000 ÷ 400

                                            = 900

∴900 boxes can be packed into the carton.

here you first find volume of the bigger container and then find the volume of the smaller container then divide them...

volume of big container=l×b×h
=100×72×50
=360000 cm^3
volume of the smaller container=l×b×h
=10×8×5
=400cm^3
No of small boxes= 360000/400
= 900
thus, no. of boxes that can be packed into a carton are 900
