Solution!!

The dimensions of one brick and the wall are given in the question. We have to find how many bricks are required to build that wall. We have to find the volume of 1 brick and the volume of the wall. Then we will be able to find the number of bricks required build that wall.

Length of the brick = 12.5 cm = 0.125 m

• Breadth of the brick = 7.5 cm = 0.075 m

• Height of the brick = 5 cm = 0.05 m

Volume of the brick = Length × Breadth × Height

→ Volume of the brick = 0.125 m × 0.075 m × 0.05 m

Volume of the brick = 0.00046875 m³

Length of the wall = 12.5 m

• Breadth of the wall = 15 m

• Height of the wall = 0.5 m

Volume of the wall = Length × Breadth × Height

→ Volume of the wall = 12.5 m × 15 m × 0.5 m

Volume of the wall = 93.75 m³

=> Number of bricks required = Volume of the wall ÷ Volume of the brick

=> Number of bricks required = 93.75 m³ ÷ 0.00046875 m³

=> Number of bricks required = 93.75 ÷ 0.00046875

=> Number of bricks required = 2,00,000
