no of brick = volume of wall /volume of one
brick

=12×8×240/18×10×8
=23040/1440
=16

Answer: There are 1600 bricks would be needed to build a wall.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of wall = 12 m =1200 cm

Breadth of wall = 8 cm

Height of wall = 2.4 m =240 cm

So, Volume of wall is given by

Volume=Length\times breadth\times height\\\\Volume=1200\times 8\times 240\\\\Volume=2304000\ cm^3

Similarly, Length of each brick = 18 cm

Breadth of each brick = 10 cm

Height of each brick = 8 cm

So, Volume of each brick is given by

Volume=Length\times Breadth\times height\\\\Volume=18\times 10\times 8\\\\Volume=1440\ cm^3

Therefore, Number of bricks is given by

\frac{\text{ Volume of wall}}{\text{Volume of each brick}}\\\\=\frac{2304000}{1440}\\\\=1600

Hence, there are 1600 bricks would be needed to build a wall.
