First for uniform calculations we change the metres into centimetres...

Note : 100 cm = 1 metre

Volume of a cuboid is given by,

l \times b \times h

Therefore, Volume of the brick by substituting the values of l, b, h,

24 \times 12 \times 8 \\  \\  =  > 2304 \:  {cm}^{3}

Similarly, Volume of Wall, by substituting the values of l, b, h,

1200 \times 400 \times 24 \\  \\  =  > 11520000 \: {cm}^{3}

Therefore,

No. \: of \: Bricks \: Required =  \frac{Volume \: of \: Wall}{Volume \: of \: Brick}

By substituting volume of wall and volume of brick, in the above formula,

 \frac{11520000 \:  {cm}^{3} }{2304 \:  {cm}^{3} }  = 5000\: bricks \\  \\
