how many bricks will be required to lay a path 60m long and 2.4 m broad if a bricks 8 cm long and 5 cm wide?

No of bricks =
area \: \: of \: path \div area \: of \: brics

area of road=60×2.4=144 m^2=1440000cm^2

area of a brick=8×5=40cm^2
no. of bricks needed
 =  \frac{1440000}{40}  = 36000
therefore,36000 bricks are needed to lay the road
