Bridging oxygen — Where oxygen links tetrahedron together.

When we draw a structure of P₄O₁₀ we get %

Six bonds of the form P—O—P.

This is what is known as bridging oxygen.

We therefore have six bridging oxygen in P₄O₁₀.
