.There are four classes in the caste system:-

Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas,and Shudras.

Brahmins

. The brahmins occupied the top position and performed all the rituals.

Kshatriyas

. The Kshatriyas were a warring class who occupied the second class and protected their kingdom from any external attacks.

Vaishyas

. The Vaishyas were farmers,traders and business man.

Shudras

.The Shudras occupied the lowest strata of the society and were supposed to do all the menial work.
