how many cell divisions are required to produce 128 parenchyma cells from a meristematic cell

I think 127 cell division is required .... because after one division cell one part of cell goes to permanent cell and other part will remain for next cell division...

A single mitotic division of oNe cell produces twO cells. 2nd division of this two cells produces 4 cells and so on. 2^n = Number Of cells after n divisions. Thus 7 generations of mitosis yields 128 cells from a single cell.
