In the history book of class 10, there are total eight chapters.

So in CBSE board exam, the students will have to study 4 chapters among those 8 chapters.

You will find three chapters in the first unit of history. Among those three the chapter 'Indian Nationalism' is compulsory for all the students. Now, from the remaining 2 chapters of the 1st unit, the students have to choose any one from these two chapters.

The history book contains total 3 units. So from the last 2 units, you can choose any one chapter from the respective units.
