• In this story Dr. James Herriot the protagonist was a veterinary surgeon. Tricki is vey much fond of food. Dr. Herriot was a highly practical man.
• He need to treat Tricky. But he did not give any medical assistance to the dog. He gave it only water for two days.
• Mrs. Pumphrey is a very rich lady. she was very fond of dogs. The name of her dog is Tricky. She always feeds her dog. She is not aware that the physical exercise if dog is much less compared to the food it takes. He suddenly falls I'll. So she took Tricky to Dr. Herriot. He finds out the problem and decided to feed the dog only with water for two days. This method works out well and the dog began to recover from the illness. Tricky becomes a muscular and flexible dog thereafter.He becomes very sensible and a kind dog.
