there are only 192 countries in world , and a medium sized country has 300-400 cities. so 2,5 million cities is in my opinion an exaggerated number .As for small towns and villages, this can indeed add to almost 2,5 million. world has 200 independent countries , and 7,400,000,000, alive humans as of 2016.
