How many cubes of edge 4cm, each can be cut out from cuboid whose length, breadth and height are 20 cm, 18 cm and 16 cm respectively

volume of cube=4×4×4=64 cm3
volume of cuboid=20×18×16=5760 cm3
no. of cube=5760/64=90

Therefore, volume of the cube = (side)^{3}   = (4cm)^{3}

= 64 cm^{3}

Now, dimensions of cuboid is  , l = 20 cm , b = 18 cm and h = 16 cm

∴ The volume of the cuboid is l x b x h =  20 cm x 18 cm x 16 cm

=   5760  cm^{3}

Now, number of cubes that can be cut out of cuboid = \frac{\textrm{ volume of the cuboid}}{\textrm {volume of the cube}}

=  \frac{5760  cm^{3} }{64  cm^{3} }

= 90

Hence, 90 cubes can be cut out from the cuboid.
