Hello
___________________________________________________________
Let 1cm side cube = cube 1
similarly 3 cm cube = cube 2

Volume of cube 2 = 3 x 3 x 3 = 27  cm³

volume of cube 1 = 1 x 1 x 1 = 1cm³
___________________________________________________________
volume of cube 2 / volume of cube 1 = no of cubes

27/1 = 27 cubes

Hey there!

Let the Cube of 1 cm (Small cube) be X
& Cube of 3cm (Big cube) be X'

The Volume of cube X = l × b × h
= 1 × 1 × 1
= 1 cubic. cm

The Volume of cube X' = l × b × h
= 3 × 3 × 3
= 27 cubic. cm

To get the no, of small that can be cut from a big cube of sides 1 cm & 3 cm respectively. We have the following formula,

No. of cubes = Volume of X'/ Volume of X
= 27/1
=27

Hence, 27 Cubes can be cut from a cube of side 3cm

Hope it helped ^_^
