1288 cubic cm of wood are there in closed box  and the cost of wood required to make the box is Rs.5796

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of box = 14 cm

Breadth of box = 11 cm

Height of box = 12 cm

Thickness of wood = 2 cm

Inner length = 14-(2+2)=10

Inner Breadth =11-(2+2)=7

Inner Height=12-(2+2)=8

Volume of wood = Outer volume - Inner volume

Volume of wood = (14 \times 11 \times 12)-(10 \times 7 \times 8)

Volume of wood =1288 cm^3

Cost of 1 cubic cm wood = Rs.4.50

Cost of 1288 cubic cm wood = 1288 \times 4.50=Rs.5796

Hence 1288 cubic cm of wood are there in closed box  and the cost of wood required to make the box is Rs.5796
