How many cubic cm of iron are there in open box whose external dimensions are 36 cm, 25 cm and 16.5 cm. The iron being 1.5 cm thick throughout

Answer : 5049 cubic cm is present

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of iron =  total volume - total capacity

total volume = 36 * 25 * 16.5 = 14850 cm³

total capacity = (36 - 3)*(25 - 3)*(16.5 - 3)

=>33 * 22 * 13.5 = 9801 cm³

volume of iron = 14850 - 9801 = 5049 cm³
