Answer:

560

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of cylindrical can = 5 cm .

Radius = 5/2 cm

Height = 8 cm

Volume of cylindrical can

Volume = π r² h

= 22/7 × 5/2 × 5/2 × 8

= 11/7 × 5 × 5 × 4

= 11/7 × 100

Volume of rectangular tin

Volume = 40 × 40 × 55

Number of cans

Number of cans = ( 40 × 40 × 55 )/( 11/7 × 100 )

= ( 4 × 4 × 5 × 7 )

= 16 × 5 × 7

= 80 × 7

= 560
