Answer:
“Indian parliament” or the “Parliament of India” is the "supreme legislative body" that has two houses- “Lok Sabha”- representatives elected through “Universal Adult Franchise” and “Rajya Sabha”- members are indirectly elected- with the president of the country as its head.
In a year there are three housing sessions of parliament with "no more than six months gap" between "two sessions". The three sessions are
1) "Budget session" between "February to may"
2) "Monsoon session" from "July to September" and
3) "Winter session" in "November and December".
The number of days or sittings, differ each year with 27 days in 1999, 85 days in 2000 to 2015, 70 days in 2016 and 57 days in 2017.
